Going flat out!
Today marks two weeks since our training plan began and here's a rundown of how it's gone.
The two Monday runs - they're the easy ones - have been fine and I've stuck to the five-mile routes, if not a bit more. The rest of week one involved a track session on Thursday, in which we did eight reps of 800m, and a 12-miler last Sunday.
This week included Monday's run, plus a speedy four-miler on Wednesday, and then 14 miles today, despite the snow and ice.
It was a beautifully clear day today and the mountains were covered in snow, though the temperature barely got above zero. As we arrived back at the house, we saw a red kite being chased by two pigeons above the houses on our street - and I'd seen a red squirrel earlier on the route.
Not a bad day, all round, apart from flattening my car battery this afternoon!
