Out 'n' about in Glasgow

Meg and I have been out training for the last three weeks or so and we're just back from our third 'long run'. Our first one was not long after I was back from Kilimanjaro and I was still feeling a bit rough, so we ran out towards Paisley on the cycle track and back along Paisley Road West then through Mosspark, walking some parts of it.

Since then I've been feeling much better and have got my strength back in my legs by going back to the club and running my own runs in the week. Last weekend we headed out to Milngavie, doing about 12 miles, along the Kelvin Way. It is pretty muddy in parts and we did see a dead, decaying calf - but apart from that it was a great route. We finished up at the start of the West Highland Way and then got the train back into Glasgow.

Today we've been along the cycle route to Clydebank then back to town along the canal. It was about 14 miles in total and took us two hours. We're building up to around 22 miles three or four weeks before the race - the problem at the minute is trying to fit it into the rest of life! But all that can wait anyway... we've got training to do.
