I'm doing a marathon

There's no escaping it: I got my official charity place accepted yesterday so I'm in the Edinburgh Marathon 2007. I've never run a marathon before and didn't really intend to just yet, but... och, I'm doing one now! It's only 26.2 miles, how hard can it be? I'd like to do under three and a half hours but we'll see how the old training goes.

I need to raise a minimum of £500 for Maggie's Cancer Care Centres and with a bit of help from you - if you're reading this - I reckon I can at least do that. Maggie's run these centres throughout the UK, though most are in Scotland, and they give advice and care to cancer patients and their families. I'll put up some more information about the charity and my preparation for the race in due course - but I've got a massive mountain to climb (literally, not metaphorically) before then.
